One Gun Guy fires a shot at Xbox One and Series X|S

One Gun Guy has slowly and surely been blasting his way through the formats, first releasing on PC, then Switch, then PlayStation. Now it’s the turn of the one-shot expert to hit the world of Xbox, with release on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

Available to purchase on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S for just £4.99 – and also available for a similar price on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC – One Gun Guy from Check Mate Publishing, Ratalaika Games and Ritual Games is as simple as they come – an action platformer in which you’re requested to shoot your way to success.

There’s one giant level that comprises the world of One Gun Guy and it’s in here where you’ll find the usual shooting and platforming ideas; player upgrades, tons of hazards and obstacles, enemies to blast away at and even a boss to kill.

It’s the standard game which you’ll find yourself piling through initially, but be sure to know that once you’ve proven yourself as the One Gun Guy, you’ll have the chance to work through things again – just this time in your underwear via the Hard Mode.

We’re not expecting One Gun Guy to set the world alight, but for a cheap little indie platformer that looks to have a ton of charm, it could well do the business. Keep an eye out for our full review in the days ahead, but for now you’ll discover the game is fully playable over on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S through the Xbox Store. Don’t forget, you can find the same game on Steam, on PlayStation and at the Nintendo eShop for Switch too.

Game Description:

One Gun Guy is a straight forward no nonsense action platformer, one giant level littered with player upgrades, hazards to tackle, enemies to destroy and a boss to kill. After conquering the base difficulty take on this precision platformer’s Hard Mode in your underwear!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
