Ready to go Beyond Extreme with Park Beyond?

We had huge hopes for Park Beyond – a modern day interpretation of an old-school classic, infused with some of the wackiest of ideas? It sounded too good to be true. But, for the most part, it worked, allowing us to get fully creative. Today that creativity is taken to all-new levels with a free update and some paid DLC.

Update 2.0 is free to all

It’s Update 2.0 that is front and centre of matters. Rolling out to PC players today, with Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 folk on the receiving end come October 18th, the free 2.0 update comes on the back of Bandai Namco and Limbic Entertainment listening to their community.

Adding in major improvements to Park Beyond, this is found including performance optimisation, camera behaviour, roller coaster creation, element placement and more. Will it ensure that Park Beyond is in the best place possible since launch? Probably.

Further, Update 2.0 also brings the Parks and Prefabs sharing platform powered by mod.io. From the smallest decor element to customized shops or rides, to full parks, players can share their creations with their friends and the world, across all platforms through the “Community Content” menu.

That update is rolling out to all, but those who have found themselves going real deep with Park Beyond will probably be more interested in the release of the game’s first Theme World, Beyond eXtreme.

Ready to go Park Beyond Beyond Extreme?

Beyond Extreme adds a touch of the 90’s extreme sport vibe to your parks, with two new missions to take on. There will also be crazy entertainers, new rides designed with daredevils in mind, and loads of scenery items. It all promises to allow you to create an explosive atmosphere for visitors.

Beyond eXtreme is part of the Park Beyond Annual Pass, present in the Visioneer Edition. It is also available separately. You’ll find it on Xbox Series X|S via the Xbox Store today. It’s also on PlayStation 5 and PC. You can’t play Park Beyond on Xbox One though.

Just remember, you’ll need the base game of Park Beyond to hand in order to enjoy anything mentioned.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
