Prisonela DX is on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch

If you’re looking for a little indie game to while away the hours, you can rely on Ratalaika Games to deliver it. This week’s offering from the prolific indie publisher is that of Prisonela DX on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.

A new Ratalaika platformer

Priced at £4.99, Prisonela DX is about as close to standard Ratalaika fare as you are likely to get. It places you in the madness of a world that is full of obstacles, traps and enemies. And yes, it’s up to you to navigate through them, coming out the other side in one piece.

One piece isn’t something that is likely to happen on your first run through Prisonela DX though. In fact, it’s only by heading in, working out what the hell is going on, and then learning from your mistakes in which success will be found. With some nice short levels (promised), various skins (also promised) and a cute pixel art style (you know it, right), Prisonela DX should appeal.

Key features

  • Platform action gameplay
  • Short levels
  • Different skins
  • Random level order
  • Cute pixel art style

Buy now!

Prisonela DX is on the Xbox Store, available as we type. You’ll be able to play it on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It’s also present and correct on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.

Want a review of Prisonela DX on Xbox? We’ll get one sorted pretty soon. And if this Ratalaika Games game doesn’t suit, perhaps last week’s addition of Dr. Frank’s Build a Boyfriend will?

Prisonela DX Game Description

Get ready for platforming incarceration insanity in Prisonela DX. These levels may be short, but fun! Use your special parkour abilities to overcome all the obstacles, and avoid all the traps. Don’t expect to atone for your mistakes in this prison madhouse though. Each time you die, you’ll be warped to a completely different level where you’ll have to adapt and survive. Do you have what it takes to escape this platforming prison hell? Find out in Prisonela DX!

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
