It is now Autumn in the mystical land of Mexico and  Forza Horizon 5, and the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 30 just keep on coming in. As the weather outside my window looks decidedly wintry, never mind autumnal, it is probably a good excuse to stay tucked up nice and warm indoors, controller in hand.

But in order to do that we’ll need some cars and tunes for this Series 30 Autumn challenges. Let me help you out a bit…

Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – No Expense Spared

The weekly challenge car for Series 30 – Autumn is a Lexus, but not just any Lexus – it is the amazing LF-A.

There were only 500 of this car ever made, and the best fact I know about this particular car is that it had to have a digital rev counter, as an analogue one couldn’t keep up with how fast this motor could rev!

Should you not have one in your garage, then it is available in the Autoshow for a hefty 500,000 credits. It also is the prize for the Trial, same as last week.

Chapter 1 – One of 500

Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete! They look great in white…

Chapter 2 – Best Speedometer Ever!

Get your LF-A to 200mph. Easy on a nice straight highway…

And with the share name” Lexus LFA” in conjunction with my GT, Red620Ti, it’s even easier!

Chapter 3 – Apex is in the Name

As this car was built to race, we need to win two Road Circuit events to prove its heritage.

Chapter 4 – Ring Wraith

We now have to drive the car for 20 miles, which considering the highway is 8 miles end to end seems like a long way! It’s easy enough though, just settle in for the long run.

Complete these tasks and we will be five points closer to the seasonal prizes that are up for grabs with Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 30.

Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts

So, with the weekly challenge done and dusted, let’s dive into the rest of the mayhem on offer.

Only three Eventlabs this week, and much speeding to do, so it should be fun.

The Trial – Pursuit of Perfection

This week, we are limited to a single make of car, and it is a Lexus, tuned to A Class 800, that we need. I went with an SC300, and the share code is : 391173747.

We seem to be having a drop off in the number of people doing the Trial, as last week I don’t think we had more than four people on our team! Is it the draw of Forza Motorsport taking folk away from the wheels of Horizon?

Should we manage to win out on this mammoth drive, a Lexus LF-A is the prize. May save you some pennies…

Eventlab 1 – Don Joewon Song Presents – Dystopia Ruins

The category for this one is Offroad and Unlimited Offroad cars, to A Class 800. Step forward the Jeep Trailcat, share code is : 118411445.

I normally like Don’s creations, but this one is awful. Looks great, but too many tight corners are made tighter by massive rocks and a confusing layout, spoils it for me.

The prize for completing this race is a Super Wheelspin.

Eventlab 2 – JOELHEAZ  Presents – Autodromo Int. B.Cecilia

Retro Supercars is the car type and A Class 800 is the restriction. I went for a Lamborghini Countach, share code: 797737461.

A great track with a great flow, I really liked this one.

Take away an Epitaph Red Logo Relaxed Tee for completing it.

Eventlab 3 – JOHCEE Presents – JCO Project Race2 Refinery Night

These names are getting longer and longer! For this one, it is a Retro Muscle car, tuned to B Class 700 that we need. I chose a stock Ford Crown Victoria. Who doesn’t want to drive a cop car?

A track that features the most ridiculous of sharp bends, after two laps it’s beginning to outstay its welcome…

We can take away a Ford Falcon ‘72 for bearing with it though.

PR Stunt 1 –  Speed Zone – Switchbacks

The PR Stunts this week all share a common theme – Lynk & Co cars, tuned to A Class 900.

I’m not familiar with this brand, and so chose a No.100 Cyan Racing 03 in stock trim, as it is at the limit. This is a very capable car!

We need to average over 90 mph through the zone. Do so and you’ll find a Super Wheelspin heading your way in return.

PR Stunt 2 – Speed Zone – Ring Road

Same type of speed challenge as above, with the same car. It’s just that this time we need to average 87 mph through this zone.

Another Super Wheelspin awaits.

PR Stunt 3 – Speed Zone – Cliffside

Guess what? It’s time to rinse and repeat again! This time the speed target is to average over 110 mph.

Yet another Super Wheelspin for doing this.

Seasonal Championship 1 – To Infiniti & Beyond!

Hi, pun writers…

For this event, it is a Nissan & Infiniti car that is needed, tuned to A Class 800. There’s a lot of choice here, and I went with a Fairlady Z from 2003. The share you need is “350Z” with my GT, Red620Ti.

For winning out, we can take home a ##777 Nissan 240 drift car

Seasonal Championship 2 – Last Chance Saloons

The class this time around is B Class 700, and the type is Retro Saloons. I chose an M3 from 1991 with share name “E30” and my GT, which is still the same as above!

The prize for winning is a Lynk & Co 03+, which makes up for the hassle, I guess!

Seasonal Championship 1 – Heavy Duty Dash

A bonus third championship this week, and the class is Pickups and 4X4’s. I went with a Ford Bronco from 2021. The share code is : 703478894.

For winning out, a Deberti F-150 could be ours.

Part 3: Other Challenges

There’s always more to get involved in than just the racing, and that is the case again this week with Series 30 – Autumn

What do we have? Well a Treasure Hunt, a photo to take, and that’s about it – slim pickings this week.

Photo Challenge – #LUNARLOOKOUT

We have to photograph any car on a Lunar Lookout platform at the Lunar Drift Arena. Should be pretty simple, no?

See up top for my artistic effort, and below for the location.

The reward? A new emote, “Snap!”.

Treasure Hunt 1 – Riding a Tiger, Hard to Get Off!

The clue this time reads “It may not be a tiger, but a big cat that’s for sure, send it sideways three times and the treasure you’ll secure!”.

More clues should rhyme, don’t you think?

The picture is an F-Type Jag, and I guess by “send it sideways” we need to earn three drift skills.

The treasure chest contains 300 FP, and the location is shown below. The photo challenge and the Treasure chest are in the same location this week, which makes a nice change!

Part 4: Hot Wheels Events

If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.

Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Trap – Hammers Shadow

We need a TVR for this event, and one tuned to S1 Class 900. I went for a Sagaris from 2005, share name is “Sagaris” with my GT, Red620Ti.

Hit the trap doing in excess of 210 mph to win. If you decide to approach from the north, you’ll discover an easier time.

A Super Wheelspin is your reward.

Seasonal Championship – Record Breakers

We need an A Class 800 car this week, and the category is “Worlds Fastest”.

You can’t search for this, and so I went with a  Lamborghini Countach, and the share code is : 797737461.

Completing the championship will get us a Ford Gt500 from 2020.

Part 5: Rally Adventure Events

The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to the following couple of events…

Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Trap – Duna Escarpada

Another event needing a TVR, with an S1 Class 900 tune, so I used the same car as in the Hot Wheels Speed Trap.

We need to clear over 115 mph here. Very tricky as the track is off road, but approach in a straight line ignoring the road and you should be okay.

The prize is another Super Wheelspin. Sigh.

Seasonal Championship – Racing Reapers

We need a Volvo for this event, and the tuning limit is B Class 700. Not going to be a quick race, but should be a safe one! I went with a V60 Polestar, and the share name is “V60”.

For winning, it is a Grit Reapers Desert Scarf that we can take away.

With Series 30 at the Autumn mark, a new set of cars are up for grabs. And they are the Ioniq 6 ‘22 for 80 points and a Nio EP9 for 160.

Even more Rivals circuits have now been added too, and there are two for proper cars and two for EVs. For proper cars, we can have a crack at Estadio Circuit and Horizon Baja Scramble, while the EV lovers amongst us will enjoy Tierra Prospera Circuit and Aerodroma Sprint. Put in a clean lap on each event to earn 4 points per race.

Grab enough points and Series 30 – Autumn also sees you given access to the exclusive Lynk & Co HB for 20 points. Additionally, for 40 points we can get a #20 MG MG6, a hard to find car apparently.

With a new Series heading into its second week already, there is plenty more to look forward to as the weeks go by. Come back, same time, same place for a look at Winter’s events.

To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5. It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.

Let us know in the comments if I have helped, hindered or missed the mark with these tunes.
