PEW, PEW – Space Crew heads to Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch

space crew

Back in 2018 the teams at Curve Digital and Runner Duck Games gave gamers the opportunity to micro-manage a crew of daring darlings on a variety of bombing runs with Bomber Crew. Now though they’ve set their sights much higher as Space Crew heads off to the stars in the hope we can save Earth from the evil Phasmids.

Available to purchase and download right now, Space Crew is Curve And Runner Duck’s next venture, letting us take in a galactic trip like no other.

Expanding on what was found in the original Bomber Crew, that micro-managing of your crew will never have been more important as you fight back against alien boardings, worry about falling oxygen levels and frantically try to fix failing systems and power fluctuations. And when you’re in space, apparently no one can hear your screams. Except for those Phasmids who will no doubt thrive on them.

Should you be ready for a new task at hand and think that a bit of space exploration is right up your street, Space Crew should be one to consider.

Features include:

  • Strategic Space Survival Simulation: Ship-to-ship combat is strategic and deadly; manage your resources and crew abilities to stop ship invasions, repair systems, tackle fires and take evasive action
  • Recruit YOUR Space Crew: From captain to comms officer, weapons officer, engineer and more – you will create your own unique crew with customisable equipment, loadouts, appearances and names.
  • Fastest Hunk of Junk in the Galaxy: Personalisation does not end at your crew, customise your spaceship from weapons, armour, engines, escape pods, liveries, and more to make your ship your very own.
  • Close Encounters of the Space Kind: Precarious asteroid fields, harmful radiation, the freezing vacuum of space and black holes all pose a danger to even the most experienced space crew.
  • Guardians of the Earth: Travel throughout the Galaxy and defeat the threat to humankind through a range of single player missions from reconnaissance to bounty hunts, reclamation and more.

If you wish to know more about Space Crew then our full review of the game on Xbox One is up, ready, and prepared to deliver all the detail you could ever want. In a nutshell though, if you liked Bomber Crew, you’re going to like what this provides.

And should that mean you’re tempted to embark on a journey to outer space with your new crew then Space Crew can be nabbed for £17.99 from the usual digital stores – Xbox Store, PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop. Until 22nd Oct you’ll find that a purchase of Space Crew will see you gifted Bomber Crew too. Let us know in the comments which edition you pick up.
