Ammo Pigs: Cocked and Loaded Xbox

Does anyone here remember Hogs of War? Slightly showing your age if you do, but what a game. When I first saw the title for Ammo Pigs, that was where my mind went, wondering if it was a spiritual successor. Sadly, it isn’t. Instead, though is a run ‘n’ gun game but you still play as a pig. That sounds arguably more fun. Find out how fun as Ammo Pigs: Cocked and Loaded arrives on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.

Unlike regular anthropomorphic pigs that would be ‘locked and loaded’, these Ammo Pigs are ‘Cocked and Loaded’. That is because in the future, pigs are the only species not to have been captured by the AI-controlled machines. Humanity and many other species are gone. The only animal they can save now are the chickens. Hence, ‘Cocked and Loaded’.

In Ammo Pigs: Cocked and Loaded, there is a huge emphasis or jumping and shooting. Many levels feature a lot of verticality to jump around, and mechanical beings to shoot. These pigs can’t exactly fly, but they can jump all over the place.

Featuring plenty of explosions and bacon, Ammo Pigs: Cocked and Loaded is ready to download now from the Xbox Store priced at £4.19. We will have a review coming very soon as well. But all this talk of pigs and chickens is making me hungry. Who’s for a bacon sandwich? Let us know in the comments below if you prefer red or brown sauce.

Game descriptionThe age is 2049 AD. All life forms have gone extinct — except for the pigs who oppose the hostile AI-controlled machines. The robots should be destroyed, but more importantly, there have been found the last surviving chickens. They must be saved at any cost! Ammo Pigs: Cocked and Loaded is an action-packed run-n-gun game with a heavy emphasis on jumping and shooting elements. It brings the feeling of 80’s and 90’s 2D action games with a lot of fun, explosions and bacon — in case you’re not good enough to save those poor chickens from deadly chicken-hating machines. Give it a spin if you’re up for some touch challenge!
