Whilst today marks the arrival of the highly anticipated Jungle Storm update for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, it isn’t the only new addition that players should be keeping an eye out for.
After partnering with FoxNext Games, Ubisoft have announced that the fearsome Predator will be arriving alongside the Jungle Storm update and will introduce a wealth of new content to the main game and the Ghost War PvP multiplayer mode.
The biggest new addition brought by the Predator exclusive content is the Predator Special Challenge. This challenge will be available for free to all players, starting today December 14th and runs through to early January 2018. In this new game mode players will be able to take part in the ultimate hunt as they track down the Predator in either solo play or with up to four players in co-op, and it’s set bring the hardest fight yet within Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands.
For those that manage to best the king of the jungle, exclusive rewards are waiting, with the Predator mask complete with the infamous Predator vision which can be used in the main campaign offering for the game. On top of this players will be able to further customise and stock their Ghosts with 15 new customisation items, including weapoins and an exclusive combat move that is sure to recreate the characters from the original movie.
For fans of the newly introduced Ghost War game mode, fear not, new content will also be available in this mode too with the new Predator inspired Ghost War PvP class bringing an all new option to players that comes inspired by main character Dutch played by the popular Arnold Schwarzenegger from the original Predator movie.
The new class comes complete with a new offensive alternative within the PvP battleground, with players able to access the new class through the Ghost War Pass, the Ghost Recon Wildlands Season Pass or by using the Prestige points earnt within the game mode.
Those directly involved with bringing the content to the game had the following to say:
“At Ubisoft Paris, we have been fans of the Predator movie for a long time and are thrilled to bring such an iconic character to our game,” said Nouredine Abboud, Senior Producer at Ubisoft. “The challenge is full of references to the original Predator movie and we cannot wait to see the reaction from our players.”
“The Predator is a perfect fit for the Bolivian Jungle of Ghost Recon Wildlands, and fits flawlessly within the tense and tactical gameplay of the franchise from Ubisoft,” said Rick Phillips, President of FoxNext Games.
