We all know by now what Ratalaika Games are really famous for: easy Gamerscore. They port and publish tiny indie games for developers to consoles that likely would not have been able to do so. Take their latest offering for example, it is actually the seventh title from lightUP to appear on Xbox consoles. The developers of the likes of Mina & Michi, Milo’s Quest and Super Wiloo Demake are back. Mages and Treasures releases today on Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Steam.
Featuring a very, very similar art style and level design to Mina & Michi, Mages and Treasures removes the dual controllable characters. Instead, you are a singular mage on a quest to get his treasure back. It has been stolen by evil creatures, but they’ve made a very big mistake. You may be small, but this mage packs a mighty magical punch.
Mages and Treasures features:
- Visit different scenarios full of magic and danger
- Colourful 8-bit style graphics
- Valuable magical items which grant you different spells and abilities
- Many different Items to collect
As you travel through this colourful world to claim what is rightfully yours, you can unlock new spells and find more treasure. Heck, you might even be able to make a bit of a profit on this quest!
As with Mina & Michi and other lightUP games, Mages and Treasures will have speedrun options for those willing to test themselves.
