Less than a month ago, PUBG Season 9 kicked off in style with a fresh new map to survive on, among other things. Now there are even more additions though, courtesy of PUBG update 9.2 on Xbox, PlayStation and Google Stadia. Players dropping into the battlegrounds for Update 9.2 can hop onto a new vehicle, check out the mini Survivor Pass, and experience minor gameplay improvements.
Those who play PUBG on PC have already had a week to explore Update 9.2, but it’s time for console gamers to see what’s on offer. The most exciting addition is definitely that of the new vehicle type, the dirt bike. Available on every map except Karakin, this sweet single seater ride is ready to handle all kinds of terrain thanks to the improved suspension and is absolutely rapid – it can reach up to 130km/h. You shouldn’t have much of a problem finding a dirt bike either, with them replacing 50% of the existing bikes in the game.
And then there’s the Battle Bride Survivor Pass, which shifts the focus from the seasonal theme and introduces a single character pass. It follows Sadiya Qureshi, the hero you may know from Karakin’s lore, and enables you to unlock some of her iconic skins seen in the PUBG motion comics. The Battle Bride pass progresses independently from Survivor Pass: Highlands, offering a total of 15 levels to complete through earning XP by competing in matches.
The update also includes changes to the gameplay, with shooting from the driving seat now possible. What the driver shooting mechanic does is allow you to fire sidearm weapons while driving and still maintain control over the vehicle. Furthermore, sidearms have received some balancing improvements to the likes of damage multipliers, aiming, ADS movement speed, and more.
To experience it for yourself, download the update on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Google Stadia, before dropping straight in the action.
