Priced at just £5.79 (discounted to £4.63 for two weeks), in Octonaut the world is on the brink of disaster, so much so that humanity is in need of a new hero – and that is where you come in, as the Octonaut. Your task is to fight back against the alien forces, running through what this retro shoot ’em up is able to deliver, enjoying some good old 16-bit visuals in the process.
As is the norm, Octonaut will also allow you the opportunity to mess around with numerous power-ups – like lasers and ninja stars for instance – as you battle your way through 8 stages of madness. Throw in a pretty hardcore Panic Mode to test your skills, the chance to mess around with Custom settings, and an easy-to-handle Assist mode, making things a little easier, and you’ve got a recipe well worth taking in.
