Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn gets confirmed release date

Latest Reviews

We all know the history of Shaq Fu – one of the most infamous games of all time. I won’t bore you with the specifics but now its time for Shaq to put the past behind him, forget about all the negative criticism and crack on to ensure that the legend is reborn. Today that is exactly what promises to happen as Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn has got itself a confirmed digital and retail release.

June 5th 2018 will see Shaq smash on to Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC both in digital and physical form. Priced at £14.99 / $19.99 / €19.99. Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn will also be bundled as a physical boxed product with included – but as yet unannounced – DLC from all major retailers for £24.99/€29.99/$29.99 on Xbox One and PS4, with a £34.99/€39.99/$39.99 price hitting Nintendo Switch players.

An action-packed beat ‘em up that stars the main man himself – Shaquille O’Neal – you’ll be left to battle the hordes of both Hollywood and hell as you embark on a one-man journey to avenge your fallen home and martial arts master. Beating down foes with devastating combos, facing off against outlandish celebrity bosses, and unleashing your fury with a variety of hard-hitting weapons and power-ups will all be par for the course and should ensure that A Legend Reborn doesn’t get any of the same criticism that hit the original game square in the face.

Should you wish to get hold of a free copy of Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn, Saber Interactive have previously announced that anyone who purchased NBA Playgrounds on Nintendo Switch prior to June 10th last year, will receive a free copy of Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn on Switch upon release. If you’re one of those people, then you’ll immediately find yourself quids in.

Further to this, Saber have promised to share more specifics regarding both the timing and delivery of rewards for the numerous Indiegogo backers of Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn directly via the game’s Indiegogo page. If that is you, then we advise you pop over and take a look.

For now though, check out the release date trailer.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
