It’s been a year since Solasta: Crown of the Magister rolled onto PC Game Pass, giving players the chance to take in a cRPG adventure like no other. Now it’s the turn of console players, as it makes moves on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and through Xbox Game Pass

It’s probably the Game Pass mention that will get you most excited and it’s that which should ensure a whole host of console players get the opportutnity to take in what Solasta: Crown of the Magister has to offer. If you’re not using Game Pass and would prefer to open the wallet and pay up proper hard cash, you’ll be able to.

However you get involved, it’s the award-winning nature of Solasta: Crown of the Magister that will appeal to RPG fans; more specifically the cRPG sub-genre. With it promising to stay true to the tabletop experience that this has been born from, dynamic, mysterious worlds await the true adventurer.

Solasta: Crown of the Magister is obviously optimised for console (honestly, that’s a gimme), and that means it comes with a fully redesigned UI, integration for the best Xbox controllers and the chance to take your journeying online, via cooperation play and cross-play with PC or other Xbox consoles.

In a further nice touch, Solasta: Crown of the Magister on Xbox will also make the most of the community dungeons that have been crafted in the Dungeon Maker PC tool, with Mod.io doing the heavy lifting for console players.

There’s more and with a move to console, Solasta: Crown of the Magister comes not just in base game form, but with all previously released DLC too. Expect to see the Primal Calling DLC ( and the Lost Valley DLC () both in place.

In all, as Solasta: Crown of the Magister comes to Xbox and Game Pass, you should find the following key features in place…

  • An Epic Team Adventure – Discover the shattered world of Solasta: explore ruins and dungeons for legendary treasures, learn the truth of an age-old cataclysm – and stop it from happening again. Create your very own party of adventurers with our Character Creation Tool in the classic tabletop RPG tradition.
  • Discover a Mysterious & Dynamic World – Delve into long forgotten dungeons to unearth ancient artifacts. Fight monsters in squad-level, turn-based, tactical combat. Solasta’s dynamic environment offers some interesting tactical options.
  • Prepare to Think in Three Dimensions – The dungeons in Solasta are more than flat game-boards. Climb, jump, or fly around obstacles. Evade or surprise foes from above or below. Push them into chasms or drop things on their heads. Position yourself on high grounds to start the fight with an advantage.
  • True to the Tabletop – Wizards of the Coast granted Tactical Adventures a license to use the Dungeons & Dragons SRD 5.1 content and ruleset furthering the vision of making the most faithful video game adaptation with the Tabletop ruleset!

Hit up the Xbox Store and download Solasta: Crown of the Magister today. No matter whether you’re a PC vet or coming in green via console, this is one adventure you surely won’t want to miss. Keep an eye out for our full review very soon.

Game Description:

Created and written by lifelong fans of Pen & Paper RPGs, comes Solasta: Crown of the Magister. Roll for initiative, take attacks of opportunity, manage player location and the verticality of the battle field. Set yourself up for the finishing strike and possibly roll a natural 20 at that key moment of battle. In Solasta, you take control of four heroes, each with unique skills that complement one another. Every hero expresses themselves in the adventure, making each action and dialog choice a dynamic part to the story. Players will create their heroes just as they would in a pen-and-paper game by choosing their race, class, personality and rolling for their stats. You make the choices, dice decide your destiny.
