Spitlings is ready to make your mouth water on Xbox One, PS4, Switch and PC

It may have been a while since we first heard about the mouth-watering multiplayer mayhem of Spitlings, but now it’s arrived on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. The meaty campaign, succulent multiplayer and juicy visuals it brings could see you salivating.

Meet the Spitlings: happy little rectangular creatures (with rather prominent teeth), merely trying to live a peaceful life in their skyscraper hometown. Their only problem is the weather, because when nasty goop rains down it turns into bubbles, which can entrap the Spitlings and wreck the town. The best solution is for those unaffected to split all bubbles and free their friends on the lower floors. Along the way though, nobody knows what they might end up encountering.

Essentially, Spitlings is a chaotic and action-packed arcade game to be enjoyed by up to four players, either locally or online. Taking control of the titular characters, you’ll spit – yes, spit – at the aforementioned bubbles bouncing around  and use them for elevation across over 100 levels. When playing with friends, the pressure is well and truly on; should one of you fail, everyone must restart the level. There’s even a party mode, introducing mutators which add another layer of chaos such as being upside down and an inability to stop jumping.

If you’re drooling at the prospect of bursting Mother Nature’s bubble in Spitlings, it’s available right now for £12.49 on the Xbox Store. You’ll also find it on the PS Store, Nintendo eShop, and Steam, so you’re sorted no matter what platform you prefer. Don’t worry if you’re unsure about a purchase; just keep your eyes peeled for our full review in the near future, which could help make up your mind!
