The latest game in the wonderful Trials series may have launched back in February 2019, but a mysterious Starter Pack has arrived on the Xbox Store. These new in-game items were actually added to Trials Rising back in June 2019 alongside the release of Season 2 – Medieval Motor Mayhem, but now you can purchase them outside of having to spend your Acorns in the game’s shop.
But what is included I hear you ask! Well, two items mainly, and a nice sweetener. First up is the shopping cart, a new bike with its own unique mechanics. This is much more than just a new skin for your bikes, as the shopping cart controls are completely different with a mind of its own; anyone that has ever visited a supermarket can attest to that.
Secondly, there is the Premium Knight Outfit, which was once again only previously available through the games shop. This is a full outfit, containing helmet, torso and bottoms, and makes a suitable clang when paired up with the shopping cart. Then, the sweetener. This Starter Pack also comes with 60 Acorns thrown in, to then purchase yet more in-game items.
Normally, 60 Acorns would set you back £7.19 on their own, but this Starter Pack comes in just 80p more at £7.99. And if you only previously owned the base game for Trials Rising, this is a great time to invest because this week the Expansion Pass is also on sale – also for £7.99 – featuring two pieces of DLC: Sixty-Six and Crash & Sunburn. Purchasing the Expansion pass also grants access to Stuntman Rider and Samurai Item Packs, unavailable for purchase elsewhere.
