The whole Stellaris experience is already a huge one, but that’s not stopped Paradox Interactive from providing additional content to players on all formats, expanding the game into an absolute behemoth. And now, hot on the heels of release on PC we find Stellaris: Console Edition once more being enhanced, with the conclusion of the game’s second expansion pass and the arrival of the Apocalypse and Humanoids DLC packs on Xbox One and PS4.
Available today on Xbox One and PS4, the Apocalypse and Humanoids DLC packs for Stellaris: Console Edition conclude the second expansion which also includes the Synthetic Dawn Story Pack which released earlier this year. Expansion Pass Two contains three DLC pieces, all of which were previously released for the PC version, and that further enrich the empires of ambitious spacefarers with new constructions, cosmetics, weapons, stories, and more.
If you haven’t yet involved yourself with Expansion Pass Two but like a bit of what Stellaris: Console Edition offers, then you’d be crazy to miss it. You can purchase it for £20.99 from the usual Xbox Store or PlayStation Store. Alternatively, both the Apocalypse Pack (£16.74) and the Humanoids Pack (£6.69) are available individually.
Expansion Pass Two includes:
- Apocalypse Expansion: Redefine stellar warfare with a host of new offensive and defensive options. Destroy entire worlds with terrifying new planet-killer weapons, fight against (or alongside) ruthless space pirates, and maybe discover a few non-violent game features as well.
- Synthetic Dawn Story Pack: Provides an all-new way for players to establish their empire across the stars, starting the game as a Machine Empire — a society made up entirely of robots. Unique game features and event chains will allow the machines to expand as a robotic consciousness and create an AI-led network that grows to galactic dominance.
- Humanoids Species Pack: Features a selection of new portraits and ship models for players who wish to forge their path among the stars as the irrepressible human race – or at least as a species that resembles future, spacefaring humans to some degree.
If you’re still not sold, then the latest trailers can be taken in below. Basically though, if you’re looking for a game that delivers deep strategic gameplay, rich and diverse alien races and emergent storytelling, Stellaris: Console Edition on Xbox One and PS4 is for you.
Let us know if you decide to drop in now that the Apocalypse and Humanoids DLC is available.
Humanoids DLC Description:
Stellaris: Humanoids Species Pack adds new cosmetic options to Stellaris including portraits, music, and a humanoid ship class, giving players a wide variety of choices for their species that are closer to home – or at least closer to our home galaxy. Features: HUMAN RESOURCES – Humanoids Species Pack features ten new portraits for players who wish to forge their path among the stars as an irrepressible somewhat human-like race. TRAVEL IN STYLE – Humanoids, the most-played phenotype, now has its own unique ship models and ship class, inspired by the classics of Western science fiction. MUSIC TO OUR EARS – The pack will also include three music tracks, remixed by at least one human, and will also add three new voiceover sets for digital advisor VIR that will hopefully humanize him at last.
Apocalypse DLC Description:
Apocalypse is a full expansion that redefines stellar warfare for all players with a host of new offensive and defensive options. Destroy entire worlds with terrifying planet-killer weapons, fight against (or alongside) ruthless space pirates, and maybe discover a few non-violent features as well. Features: THAT’S NO MOON – Wield the new “Colossus” planet-killer weapon – a technological terror that eliminates entire worlds from the universe. ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO YOU – Lead your fleets with enormous “Titan” capital ships and fortify key systems with massive orbital installations to make your homeworld an impenetrable bastion among the stars. PIRATES OF THE CONSTELLATION – Watch out for Marauders – nomads who raid settled empires for resources. Hire them as mercenaries but make sure they don’t unify against you! NON-VIOLENT FEATURES – Use new Ascension Perks and Civics along with Unity Ambitions that offer new ways to spend Unity and customize your development.
