Storyblocks the King
Storyblocks the King is telling tales on Xbox

In recent weeks we’ve seen a few games pop up onto the Xbox Store via Afil Games. And now there’s another. Are you ready to take on the adventure of Storyblocks – The King?

Available right now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Storyblocks: The King is a short, simple, but charming experience. It’s a game that mixed puzzle action with narrative-led gaming, as you head into a medieval setting and build out your own path and world.

A cheap little puzzler

Priced at £4.19, this is seemingly much like other Afil Game – Mimi the Cat and Sokobalien have both released recently. This time around though, it’s less box-pushing and more domino-laying, as you place tiles, creating paths for travel.

Make it safely to the end and a new story block will emerge into play, pushing players this way and that, across worlds like no other. Has a game ever been shaped by your choice of action as much as in Storyblocks: The King? Who knows, but this certainly looks to be a fascinating affair.

Full of secrets, characters and lore-powered worlds, you’ll find a download of Storyblocks: The King on the Xbox Store. From there it’s playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, optimised for the latter consoles.

There’s a Windows version of Storyblocks: The King too.

Let us know if you decide to pick up and play.

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
