There’s no debate that Hot Wheels Unleashed is a fast and furious racer, one that manages to bring together the joy of the Hot Wheels brand with the videogaming world in the very finest way. But much of what makes it good is found in the content, so when 5 new DLC packs drop, with them focusing on James Bond and Street Fighter, it’s time to get excited.
Available to purchase, download and add into your Hot Wheels Unleashed base game right now are no less than 5 new content drops; each of which will allow for a little more customisation than usual.
Available in the Hot Wheels Pass Vol 1, or as individual purchases for those looking to pick and choose, there are Street Fighter additions, Super Hero add-ons and some James Bond themed options that will have pretty much the whole Hot Wheels community clamouring for involvement.
Running a price of between £0.79 and £2.49, we find that the Tropical Wave Customisation Pack is the cheapest of the new adds. This adds 8 new and exclusive beach themed options for your basement and profile, with new walls, floors, an additional door and decorations all available.
Moving through the options though and similarly priced is the Aston Martin DB5 1963 – James Bond’s iconic car. Do we really need to tell you anymore about this?
There are other new vehicles included too, like the £1.69 priced, totally oversized Street Fighter M. Bison truck and the Superman styled racer. Both of these are sure to appeal to fans of either Street Fighter or Superman.
Finally, rounding out the Pass Vol 1 for now is a new module, one that will let you add in a boulder launcher to your racetracks. This is priced at £2.49 and will happily ping 5-meter wide stones down the track, towards any racer who decides to get in the way. If you’re after a hit of adrenaline, this is sure to deliver it.
In order to obtain any of the new DLC, you’re first best off having access to the base game. Hot Wheels Unleashed is available from the Xbox Store for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S players, whilst also being present on PlayStation, Switch and PC. If you’re loving the game, there’s a serious chance you’re going to want to expand it with some of this latest content.
