I love the smell of burnt plastic in the morning. Lucky for me, and everyone else in the world, The Mean Greens – Plastic Warfare is here. Though it has been available on PC through Steam for several years, the action-packed, multiplayer, 3rd-person shooter created by Virtual Basement is now aiming to throw Xbox One and PS4 players into the fray.
Like the games within the classic Army Men series, The Mean Greens – Plastic Warfare is all about explosive battles on unique maps. As a little green (or tan) army soldier, your objective changes from game mode to game mode. You can be capturing the flag, you can participate in classic team deathmatches, you can play soccer, or, if you really must, you can run from velociraptors.
In every mode, you have a variety of tools at your disposal. An automatic rifle, a shotgun, a bazooka, a sniper rifle, and a flamethrower are the weapons that will dismember or, in the flamethrower’s case, dissolve your opposition. On the game’s numerous and creative maps, however, you can also find more creative ways to evade or outmanoeuvre enemy players. Whether it is bouncing high on jello, riding a stream of bubbles in a fish tank, or hitching a ride on a rubber ducky, you can easily take advantage of your surroundings.
The matches in The Mean Greens – Plastic Warfare can host up to ten players, and you can even create custom matches between you and your friends. With tons of maps and game modes, it looks like you will be able to dismantle your diminutive foes for quite a while.
- Unique game modes for each map
