The Adventures of Panzer: Legacy collection on Xbox

It may not sound it, but Ratalaika Games have reliably informed us that The Adventures of Panzer: Legacy Collection! is a funny, lighthearted side-scrolling platformer; a game that will suit gamers of all ages. Fancy giving it a shot?

A double packing collection

Available right now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S is The Adventures of Panzer: Legacy Collection!. You’ll also find it on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch too.

Priced at $8.99 / €8.99, The Adventures of Panzer: Legacy Collection! does as the title suggests, bringing together two games into one double pack collection. And if you hadn’t guessed yet, those two games are the original Panzer and its sequel.

Both run as side-scrolling platforming adventures, offering up a good few hours of enjoyment and challenge. They come with multiple playable characters, on-the-fly swapping, non-linear progression, various stages and bosses, tons of dialogue and skippable cutscenes.

The Adventures of Panzer

The Adventures of Panzer, the first title of the IP is a 2D platformer. With its raw and simple game design it presents some truly impressive challenges and gameplay. Unforgiving (with random bosses) it offers no compromises, just good old fashioned continue onwards and don’t look back play!

The Adventures of Panzer 2

The most recent creation, The Adventures of Panzer 2 brings everything that worked and was successful in the original  first game but now making it much more  accessible to your average player. Many new “quality of life” features are implemented  to make the game play smoother making the overall experience more enjoyable in another epic side scrolling platformer adventure.. There is even a level select feature, upgrades that the player can buy, multiple playable characters for improved repeatability.  Level design with more detail  and  interest and less unforgiving add to a more impressive experience.  Lets not forget the boss fights which are even more explosive.

Features of the Collection…

  • Multiple playable characters
  • Real-time character swapping
  • Unlockable special ability
  • Non-linear progression
  • Simple currency system to buy more health
  • Skippable cutscenes
  • Lots of useless NPC dialog!
  • 9 fully fleshed-out levels
  • 10 challenging bosses

With the second game building on what was present in the first, it kind of makes sense for Ratalaika Games to deliver these gaming experiences to the worlds of Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch in bundle form.

And that means The Adventures of Panzer: Legacy Collection! should well appeal. You can grab a download on Xbox via the Xbox Store right now. You’ll also find it on the digital stores of PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
