Developers Hit-Point and mega-publishers KEMCO are back, and the latter are taking a break from the retro JRPG titles to bring us the living dead – that’s right, zombies are here as Raging Bytes releases on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC!
End of the World?
Releasing today on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC, Raging Bytes (get it, b’y’tes?) is an old-school turn-based action adventure that puts police officer Ben, and his medical companion Barbra, front and centre in a terrifying zombie apocalypse. It certainly seems like the end of the world, but if the dynamic duo can fight their way to the police station, perhaps they can communicate with survivors or the government, and organise an escape from the zombie-infested streets.
In between scavenging the streets for any resources, the main gameplay within Raging Bytes will see Ben and Barbra fighting the zeds in frantic turn-based combat. You’ll have to strategise when it comes to these battles – do you risk an attack on the enemy, and open yourself up to a counter, or sit back, soak up damage, and perform a finishing blow when possible?
Throw in the opportunity to fight off your attackers with ranged weaponry, make use of serums, and recruit survivors to your party that are found within the world, and the strategising becomes even more intense.
