The Escapists 2 gets new Dungeons and Duct Tape DLC

Latest Reviews

If you’re a fan of the strategic escapades that are delivered via The Escapists 2, then you’ll no doubt be interested to hear that another downloadable content pack has arrived – are you ready to head to Locke Castle?

That will be exactly where you’ll be going with the Dungeons and Duct Tape DLC for The Escapists 2 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Available today, Dungeons and Duct Tape will send us off to Locke Castle, a repurposed castle which once tried to keep armies out – and has now been reconfigured to keep serial escapists in.

With a stagnant moat and thick stone walls in place, and a ton of heavily armoured guards scouring every nook and cranny, this is one place that will test your very best escaping skills… because if you wish to formulate your greatest escape yet, it isthose skills which you’ll need to utilise.

Features of the Dungeons and Duct Tape DLC include:

  • A brand-new medieval castle themed map to escape
  • New themed customisations for your inmate
  • New jobs. Light fire torches, carve stone blocks, play the lute and make horseshoes to purchase vital supplies you’ll need to break out
  • New items and craftable recipes
  • New achievements and trophies to unlock

Obviously you’ll need the base The Escapists 2 game in place prior to purchasing The Dungeons and Duct Tape DLC, but should you need a reason to go back, then get over to a digital store near you now. You’ll find it available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC for just ÂŁ2.79 / $3.99 / 3,99 €, or you can find it as part of the Season Pass which is available to purchase for ÂŁ6.99 / $9.99 / 9,99 €.

We’ll have a full review of the DLC for you in the coming weeks, but for now you could do worse than check out our thoughts on the base game.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
