We can’t get enough of narrative-driven adventures, and it seems like the rest of the gaming community agrees with us. At least if you judge it by the multitude of those journeys which have released in recent times. The latest is the poignant storytelling experience of Hindsight – a game that moves from a PC background over to Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
Available today on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and PS5, as well as having been available on Steam for a few months already, Hindsight has been put together by Team Hindsight (headed up by Joel McDonald), published by the prolific team at Annapurna Interactive – Yes, they behind the likes of Stray, Twelve Minutes, Donut County and A Memoir Blue.
Hindsight is the latest to draw us gamers in, playing out as a narrative exploration game which goes about spanning the entirety of a woman’s life. It comes about just after the loss of her mother, all as she is found trying to make sense of it all.
It’ll be up to you to revisit her childhood home, sift through any personal belongings and step through windows in which you’ll discover memories that have been frozen in time. Hindsight is a game that will let you play at your own pace, slowing things down so that you can fully pay attention to the little things that are left behind.
If that sound good, then well, we’d highly advise you to read our review because yes, it is good. In fact – spoiler alert – we gave it a 4.5/5 and mentioned how the story was brilliant, how the visuals were superb and how it all felt very unique.
