In Surface Rush you’ll be tasked with navigating the ocean floor, bouncing away as a little Pumpum, all in hope of reaching the ultimate goal.
Releasing on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC through Steam, Surface Rush is the latest to come from the JanduSoft publishing team, having first been created by those at DrimTi Games. And as with many JanduSoft titles, this is a seriously cheap download – a mere £4.19 from the Xbox Store.
Open the wallet and splash the cash and you’ll be found in an underwater playground as you attempt to throw and bounce your little Pumpum dude around the levels at hand. 132 stages are in place in all, full of traps and obstacles, and it’ll be up to you to collect coins and get the hell outta there as quickly as you possibly can.
Four different game modes are in place too – a Classic Mode which will let you explore, taking on increasingly tricky challenges; One Shot which (as the name suggests) gives you one shot at reaching the next air bubble; Precision Mode allows for a few, yet limited, throws; whilst Timer Mode puts you against the clock, proving yourself in the world of Surface Rush and the speedrunning community.
