Always fancied yourself as the greatest showman? Reckon you can hold your own as you rise the ranks to become a true circus legend? Roll up, roll up… The Amazing American Circus has today been announced for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PS4, Switch and PC.
Due to release in 2021, The Amazing American Circus comes about via the Klabater team – they behind the likes of Crossroads Inn – and the creative minds of Juggler Games. It promises much too, mixing together a unique blend of a card game, tycoon elements, and an adventure title as you go about creating your very own wandering circus.
You’ll do this by collecting a strong deck of cards, gathering up a fantastic troupe of artists and performers, and travelling across the United States in the 19th century, in the hope that you can find it within yourself to challenge the legendary P.T. Barnum and make your enterprise the most incredible show of America.

Klabater and Juggler Games’ aim is to ensure that The Amazing American Circus tells the story of the most iconic entertainment in American history. Set during the Gilded Age, the States is a turbulent place with serious social problems and rapid economic growth with railroads and industrialization leading the way. On the East Coast, a modern metropolis springs up, while in the west, cowboys and robber barons and farmers battle for a piece of the new American dream. Now though a whole new era is coming, and it may be the right moment for a travelling circus to flourish.

In The Amazing American Circus you will take on the role of an impoverished owner of a traveling circus. Working through a personal and multithreaded story, you will then bear witness to the multiple mysteries behind a uniquely American form of entertainment. Tasked with delivering a perfect show, The Amazing American Circus will thrust you into a special card duel between you and the audience; one where boredom is your enemy, and your performances and tricks are your best weapons. You’ll need to choose your cards wisely and try to figure out the mood of the crowd.
But as a travelling Circus owner, you will also need to look for new troupe members, attempting to gather up an exotic crew of performers. The question that follows though is whether of not you can deliver the best shows in order to win the audience’s approval – or die trying?
With the whole thing pushed along by a unique story filled with love affairs, hateful enemies, and magnificent shows with challenging audiences and quests, The Amazing American Circus is wrapped up in a writing style that resembles the dime novels from the turn of the 20th century
