Adore on Xbox is a new monster tamer

Coming to you from the Brazilian duo of publisher QUByte Interactive and developer Cadabra Games, Adore on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC is the first monster-taming Brazilian game with real-time combat. Whilst we can’t name another exactly in this genre, what we do know is that Adore looks to be a cute indie title that we can see a lot of people enjoying.

Man’s Best Friend

Available right now, Adore on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC platforms, sees us take control of Lukha. Our protagonist has the special power of summoning all manner of creatures to fight by his side, as soon as he has found them out in the world and captured them.

Within the lush forests of Gatedrik a curse is brewing, following the untimely death of Draknar, the god of all creatures. It is up to us, as Draknar’s apprentice, to travel the world and revive our master, whilst discovering more about how flora and fauna interact in this dense ecosystem.

Following capture of a new creature, you will unlock the ability to call them to battle whenever the need arises. This top-down fighter requires intricate knowledge of when best to call in a certain creature, and how best to match their abilities with the variety of artefacts and runes that you will accrue. Throw in the Synergy System, Special Abilities and Traits, and no two Adore players will have the same combat style and experience.

Key Features

  • Synergy System: Your creatures work better together. You can create synergies between them. Each synergy a creature possesses will activate an extra ability or modify your creature.
  • Traits: Embark on expeditions to find statues of Draknar, the God of creatures, so that your creatures acquire traits that make them unique.
  • Special Abilities: Each creature also possesses a special ability that can be used when its energy bar is full. You have to decide when the best time is to use the special ability most effectively.
  • Runes and Artifacts: Equip and upgrade special runes and artifacts that best complement the qualities of your creature team.
  • Cooking: Gather ingredients during your adventures and create unique dishes to aid you and your creatures on your journey.

I'm an avid gamer who will play pretty much anything... but stick an open world or adventure game in front of me and I'm more than happy.
