You may have previously stumbled upon Dandara – after all, it initially launched on Xbox One back in 2018. Today though we find Raw Fury and the Brazilian indie devs at Long Hat House pushing out a whole host of new content options for the game, so much so that it’s being properly rebranded as Dandara: Trials of Fear Edition.
Available right now on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and mobile (ios and Android) – with a PS4 launch due to hit very soon – Dandara: Trials of Fear Edition takes the original gravity defying exploration adventure and throws in a host of new content – namely in the way of new areas, a new story focus and enhancements to much of the original launch.
Still priced at £11.99 just like that launch back in 2018, the amount of content now included in the game makes this a more than worthy look, particularly as for a limited time there is a huge re-launch discount in place. In fact, the price you can pay for Dandara: Trials of Fear Edition on Xbox One in the days after launch is just £4.79. And frankly, that’s silly money for something that offers so much. Better still is the fact the new content is free to existing owners.
But what is Dandara: Trials of Fear Edition? Well, it all focuses on the world of Salt; a world that hangs in the balance with oppressed, isolated citizens. In order to restore Salt to its former glory you, as Dandara, come into play and by working your way through the unique 2D metroidvania styled world will uncover all manner of exploration opportunities.
It’s not just your usual wander though and in Dandara the world is directionless as you get the chance to defy gravity and jump across floors, walls, and on ceilings in order to continue the adventure.
