The post-apocalyptic world of Unlife

A dystopian 2d platformer Unlife on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch will drop you into a haunting, horrifying post-apocalyptic world. It’s not helped by the fact you are looking for a cure to save yourself of disease.

A post-apocalyptic world

Available right now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Unlife is a Ratalaika Games title. You’ll probably know of their publishing work, as they take a number of small indie (near micro) games, pushing them out to the world. This time around they’ve grabbed the work of diedemor studio for a 2D platformer from hell. And yep, you can play it on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch if you so prefer.

It’s priced at £10.74, with a small launch discount available from the get-go if you are quick. Drop in, take home the download and you’ll discover yourself slapbag in a horrid world. It’s here where you’ll be left to take down a number of monsters, salvaging what you can in order to create weapons and supplies.

Whatever you do in Unlife, you’ll need to be fully focused on that goal – survival. That is especially true here though, as you seem to have been hit by a bit of a disease. The cure? The genetic material in your downed foes. Great.

Unlife Xbox Description

Unlife is a dystopian 2d platformer set in a haunting post-apocalyptic world.

Destroy merciless monsters, salvage weapons and supplies, overcome obstacles, and swim underwater as a necessary means of survival. The genetic material of the killed creatures can help cure the hero of the disease, which will affect the end of the game.

The main character of the game is the last survivor from his floating platform, and he must navigate a submarine towards salvation.

Can you find a cure in time to save yourself?

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
