Winter is pretty much upon us and with it comes Christmas! There may not be many big retail games coming out in the month of December, but if you’ve got any money left after the beast of Black Friday has attacked us all, then maybe the following will tempt you in. ‘Tis the season to be explosive…
Just Cause 3 – Xbox One
Everyone loves a good explosion don’t they? It’s something about the warming glow of orange and seeing your enemy careering off into the landscape. And what better than spending Christmas away in the Mediterranean island of Medici with the world’s most grudge-holding man? Yes, Rico is at it again and this time needs to abolish the dictatorship of the evil General Di Ravello – and it seems the only way to do this is to blow up everything in sight.
Equipped with Rico’s biggest arsenal of deadly weapons yet, explore the massive open world of Medici by any way necessary. Boat? Plane? Grapple Hook? The world is yours to play with… and destroy!
Why Should You Buy It? Avalanche’s new open world action-packed adventure looks to be one of revenge and anger, but the true centrepiece revolves around the fun of blowing everything up and that really comes to life when you get hold of the bigger guns.
Rainbow Six Siege – Xbox One
Tom Clancy and the Rainbow Six crew have gone all out this time, putting you into the boots of a counter terrorist (or indeed terrorist) soldier, determined to stop the forces of anti-terrorism/terrorism, and the array of gadgets on offer makes you look good doing it. Pick from a variety of classes and jump into one of the various multiplayer modes or just hone your skills in the single player ‘situations’ mode where you have to use your wits to rescue a hostage or take out a group of enemies to name just a few of the options on offer.
However it is the online multiplayer which has received most of the love as it looks to be bigger than ever, allowing you to use the physics engine to play your own way. You might want to play as a scout and use the ground drone to tag enemies. Or possibly you could open up new paths and flank the enemy. But I am sure that most games will turn into a frenzy with guns-blazing all around!
Why Should You Buy It? If you ever wanted an FPS which really allows you to think tactically before rewarding you for it, Rainbow Six Siege has you covered.
Kung Fu Panda: Showdown Of Legendary Legends – Xbox One and Xbox 360
The latest Kung Fu Panda title, Showdown of Legendary Legends will be hitting both Xbox One and Xbox 360. It may be the holder of the world’s longest ever video game title but if you’re a fan of the stars – Po, Tigress, Monkey, Tai Lung and Master Shifu then you won’t be caring too much other the title length!
What you will be caring for however is that the latest Kung Fu Panda title will drop plenty of brawling action as you make your way through some of the most iconic locations from the Kung Fu Panda films, giving you the chance to compete in a single player campaign and a number of both local and online multiplayer modes.
