There are plenty of top games coming out this month that may well see you wanting to save up the cash, but sometimes a good bargain can be too good to turn down. So with the latest batch of weekly Xbox Live Deals With Gold and Spotlight Sale discounts on Xbox One and Xbox 360 now here and running between the 17th-23rd October 2017, here are our thoughts on the bargains you should be looking out for.
Grab – McDroid – 75% off – £1.60
After crash-landing on a luscious planet infested by aliens, fixing you’re spaceship isn’t your only concern and fighting off the alien forces in order to get back home is a must in this hectic mix of tower defense and action.
You take control of McDroid and will spend your time building your base and defenses, harvesting resources and of course shooting aliens – that is if they don’t get you first.
For less than two pounds this could, and should, be your bargain of the week. In fact, it is a fantastic deal for any fan of tower defence.
Tempter – The Witcher 3 GOTY – 60% off – £14.00
Is there anything more that needs to be said about The Witcher 3 that hasn’t already been said? I doubt it, but if you’re yet to dive in to the wild world of The Witcher 3 then this could be a deal you won’t want to miss.
Whilst it may not be the cheapest deal this week – and it would be great to see the price set a bit lower – the value for content is certainly there, with hours upon hours of RPG adventure as well as two fully-fledged expansions included bringing even more story to the experience.
The Witcher 3 is a masterpiece and the GOTY edition could be yours for a fantastic price. What are you waiting for?
Leave – Farming Simulator 17 – 60% off – £16.00
Farming sims are once again proving a popular scene for gamers with several incoming to Xbox One in the coming months. But if you thought a splash of the cash on Farming Simulator 17 was a good idea then we’re here to tell you to save that hard-earned cash and put it towards something more enjoyable.
With horrid driving mechanics, long loading times, awkward controls and a lack of variety, there isn’t much to love about the latest in the yearly franchise, and after all with that asking price you can afford both of the other great titles we’ve mentioned this week and get yourself a real bargain.
It may seem tempting to head down to the farm – but it’s not!
So, there we are with another week of deals and our thoughts on the ones you should be keeping an eye on. Do you agree with these choices? I bought the Witcher ages ago and have yet to get round to it. I think I’ll start it when my One X arrives next month.
