YES! YES! YES! 2K Showcase returns in WWE 2K19 and focuses on Daniel Bryan

-

The ‘YES!’ movement has seen a resurgence in recent months since Daniel Bryan returned to action as an in-ring performer. To cap off an exciting comeback 2K have announced that he’ll be the focal point in WWE 2K19’s 2K Showcase mode!

That’s right, players will be able to relive some of the awesome moments of Daniel Bryan’s career in the WWE. The journey of the ultimate underdog will contain 11 legendary matches from his career and one extra ‘surprise’ match. There are 11 different character model variations to play as, each with their own unique look and move-sets, as well as a selection of historical arenas to fight within.

The ‘Return of Daniel Bryan’ Showcase is set to go back all the way to 2003 for a low-key battle (billed as Bryan Danielson) against a very young John Cena on Velocity and will certainly cover the momentous occasion which saw Daniel claim the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXX. It’ll also feature vignettes that are packed with WWE footage and Daniel Bryan will also give some context to the matches in the spotlight via video packages. All of this ensures the 2K Showcase is an authentic honouring of everything he’s achieved over the years as a WWE Superstar.

The standard edition of WWE 2K19 is currently scheduled for a worldwide release on 9th October, 2018 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, with those ordering the Deluxe and Collector’s editions four days earlier players on 5th October, 2018 via ‘Early Axxess’.

Is the returning 2K Showcase mode, and the focus on Daniel Bryan, enough to convince you to give this year’s instalment a look? Let us know by leaving a comment below or messaging us on social media!
