It was first released in China back in 2016, but then Your Toy managed to sneak out and embrace the North American market in 2017. Now, sitting here in August of 2018, we see the nightmarish Your Toy go the whole hog and start playing around in 25 new regions – of which the UK, Europe and Japan are all included.

Are you ready to enter the strange world of Your Toy? A 3D first person escape experience, Your Toy is packed to the brim with horror, all as it delivers a tale full of childhood toys, nightmares and a strange forgotten dreamscape.

Priced at £11.99 – although if you are quick with a purchase you’ll find a decent discount in place – Your Toy promises both a deep narrative and a number of unique puzzles that should never get old.

“Your Toy is sure to keep gamers guessing as they work to figure out clues and escape a psychological nightmare rooted in their protagonist’s childhood,” said Yao Kun, Producer at VIVA GAMES. “Our team has worked tirelessly to create a horror game that will give you the creeps — Your Toy is the culmination of those efforts and it delivers.”

Key features include:

  • Immerse yourself in a haunting first-person atmosphere
  • Escape from three dangerous environments, including a dingy bathroom, a creepy cave, and a chamber resembling your childhood bedroom
  • Solve randomly generated puzzles using only your surroundings
  • Search for items and discover the source of your childhood toy’s quest for revenge

If you are in any of the following regions, then Your Toy can now be purchased – Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom.

Before you pay the Xbox Store a visit and spend the cash required though, it may be worth you checking out our full review.

Game Description:

“Your Toy” is a 3D first person escape game that incorporates elements of horror. Do you remember your childhood toys? Where are they now? They were your friends once, but has it ever occurred to you that they could become the stuff of nightmares? You wake up to darkness and find yourself trapped in a place that’s supposed to have long vanished. Messages, one after another, lure you into an abyss of intrigues unknown. What’s that thing watching you from the other side of non-existent reality? Caught in between dreamscape and memory, the forgotten victim returns—this time around, who is the toy? An outstanding escape game! “Your Toy” features an advanced no-repeat puzzle system, challenging puzzle content, as well as a well-designed backstory. Not only will you enjoy solving the game’s puzzles, you will also experience the story through collecting various in-game items. Are you ready to enter the nightmare?

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
