It’s been a decade since the horror comedy flick Zombieland was first found wowing big screen crowds, proving that no matter how you dress up the zombie genre, the masses will flock. Now though, as the sequel to the film begins to arrive in cinemas, we find a new game accompanying the action – Zombieland: Double Tap – Road Trip.
Available to purchase on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC, Zombieland: Double Tap Road Trip runs proceedings as a top-down four-player cooperative affair in which your twin-stick shooting A-game will be put to the test.
Taking place shortly after the goings-on of the original film, Double Tap – Road Trip will bring all your favourite zombie hunting heroes to the gaming scene, with Tallahassee, Columbus, Wichita and Little Rock all present and correct alongside new characters from the next film.
From there on out you’ll need to utilise your abilities and make good use of a huge arsenal of weaponry to stay alive against the oncoming waves of undead. A full story based campaign mode will hold plenty of content for those wishing to go deep into the lore of Zombieland, but alongside that expect to find a delightful Horde Mode, plus a whole ton of big boss fights. Basically put, you’ll want to grab a gun and take down the undead however you see fit!
Priced at £33.49, Zombieland: Double Tap – Road Trip isn’t a super cheap one-night stand either, and should you be ready to go deep into the hordes, will find the relevant downloads available from the usual digital stores. Us Xbox One gamers should revel in the delights of the Xbox Store, but if you prefer to go zombie hunting on PS4, Nintendo Switch or PC, we won’t ever think any less of you. Well, maybe a little!
