2 more games go free on Xbox – this time by order of the Peaky Blinders

Think of yourself as a bit of a Mastermind? Want to head Out of Space? There are a couple of free Xbox games heading your way that should well appeal. 

Whilst we sit and get excited about the next set of Game Pass titles to arrive, playable for free, it’s the Xbox Games With Gold scheme that comes to the fore, once again stripping out the prices of a couple of Xbox titles, giving them away for free to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S gamers. 

We’re long past the time when we’d leap with joy with what Games With Gold was able to deliver and the heady days of four free games a month are long gone. But with Game Pass constantly building out our libraries for little cost, are the good old days of free Xbox Games With Gold titles really missed?

Well yes they are, but we’ll take what we can get and for April 2023 a couple of Xbox titles will be gifted for free to all with an Xbox Live Gold Subscription. Those games are Out of Space: Couch Edition and – and little more interesting to many – Peaky Blinders: Mastermind. 

Out of Space: Couch Edition will be removed of a price first, with the freeness available to all on Xbox through April 1st – 30th 2023. That means the usual £8.39 price that is attached will head straight down to zero for a few weeks, as players get the chance to take in a fun little game that is all about moving home, in space. 

First released by Behold Studios and Plug In Digital back in 2020, Out Of Space is a game we got on really well with, hyping up the colourful and charming visuals, the challenging gameplay loop and the fact that it worked really well with multiple players. In fact, we dropped a 4/5 on it in review. 

You can find the download of Out of Space: Couch Edition on the Xbox Store – expect it to be free between April 1st – 30th. 

And then we have an order by the Peaky Blinders as their Mastermind title also goes free. 

Peaky Blinders: Mastermind released in 2020 as well, and again we threw a 4/5 review score on it. This is a game that will appeal massive to fans of the TV series, with faithful adaptations running throughout. It’s got some really good ideas in it too, and whilst the campaign is fairly short, the time manipulation elements and smooth difficulty curve will mean it’s one to check out – particularly when it is free. 

You’ll discover the chance to become a Mastermind for zero cost between April 16th – May 15th, as the £19.99 price tag is removed. Get it from the Xbox Store.
