Gamescom came, Gamescom near enough went and Gamecom brought us a shed load of news that served for a busy old week on TheXboxHub. But what were the stories you really shouldn’t have missed? Let us take you on a round up of the best Xbox news and reviews from the last seven days.

We must start with the biggest news to have come out of Cologne over the last few days and it includes trailers, release dates, more trailers and more release dates! Our favourites were most definitely:

If the above weren’t exciting enough, the real big draw was the sighting of the official Project Cars Gamescom 2014 trailer and the announcement of the Project Cars Limted Edition and Pre-Order details. The trailer though is the real highlight, being absolutely glorious and rather stunning.

Away from the German going ons, and we have been treated to a full achievement list for Shadow of Mordor, a full roll out of the EA Access Hub (which you really should check out) and indeed a small roll out of the September Xbox One System Update. We also told you about The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Collector’s Edition, a release date for the latest golf title to drop on consoles, the stunning looking The Golf Club and the fact that Pinball FX2 is out now on Xbox One (don’t forget your 360 tables WILL transfer over!).

We also have the full roster reveal list for WWE 2K15 available for your perusal.

And of course, remember that the middle of August means the Xbox Live Games With Gold free title changes. Out goes Motocross Madness and in comes the brilliant Dishonored. You’ll be able to download it for free between the 16th-31st August 2014 as long as you hold an Xbox Live Gold subscription.

We then must point you in the direction of a few of our opinions. Firstly, James took a look at the Xbox Original TV show, Every Street United and you can read his thoughts on the full series just here. Do you agree with his viewpoint that the interactive show was ‘A bore of two halves’?

TXH also finally got round to reviewing Wolfenstein: The New Order on Xbox One and it turns out to be something Xbox One owners should definitely take a look at. Xbox 360 owners don’t go wanting either because we reviewed the weeks only new release, Risen 3 Titan Lords.

Finally for this week feel free to have a read of our exclusive Q&A with Dan Barrett with regards Magic 2015: Duels of the Planeswalkers. It gives a rather decent insight into the game that is currently out on Xbox 360 and drops a few hints at what we’ll expect to see when the Xbox One version finally gets here.
