It’s not unusual to see a game arrive on the latest consoles only to deliver gameplay mechanics that have been inspired by the golden age of gaming – the 1990s. That’s the case today as we get the chance to become the Exodemon.
Available today on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch, with a previously PC through Steam drop having occurred a couple of years back, Exodemon sees you taking on the role of a scientist who has become infected by an alien entity. It will be up to you to not just make the most of the new super powers that you find in place, but attempt to fight back against the symbiotic force and to stay in control.
Created by a small Brazlian indie dev team, and having been picked up by JanduSoft to now launch on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch, Exodemon promises to deliver ’90s styled first person shooting elements as you work your way through some maze-like levels, taking down hordes of foes in the process.
It’s your monstrous new abilities which will come to the fore in Exodemon, as you become this near-indestructible alien killing machine. With an old school feel, some retro visuals, a serious lack of hand holding, yet a ton of charm, Exodemon should well suit many a gamer.
Features include:
- – Fast Paced First Person Shooter
- – Old School Feel
- – Retro Graphics
- – Awesome Hands From Hell
- – Lots of exploration and secrets
The lowish asking price of £10.74 helps matters – if you’re therefore sold on giving it a shot, make sure you head over to the Xbox Store, the PlayStation Store, the Nintendo eShop or through Steam for PC.
We’ll no doubt have a little review of Exodemon on Xbox for you at some point too. We’re expecting a bit of an old-school DOOM feel about this one.
Game Description:
You must make your way through maze-like levels, destroying hordes of enemies with your monstrous abilities. Combining the destructive power of your symbiotic claws with a fast, sharp and fluid movement, you’ll become an indestructible alien killing machine. In Exodemon you play as a scientist in the edge of the universe who was infected by an alien entity. The symbiotic force is trying to take control, but you may find a way to control the beast on the confederation laboratories. Resist the infection and blaze through various locations to reach the last escape pod before you lose what’s left of your humanity.
