Beep beep – the Looney Tunes expansion and more roll out to Hot Wheels Unleashed

Ever since Mattel and Milestone joined forces and released Hot Wheels Unleashed to the world, the clamour for new expansions has been rich. Those teams have delivered too – DC Super Heroes have arrived, Street Fighter has punched a way in and even Barbie has rocked up with her Dream Camper. Today though it’s all about the Looney Tunes as new vehicles, track modules, customisation items and more allow players the chance to relive the hilarious adventures of the animated series.

Available today for Hot Wheels Unleashed players to enjoy is the Looney Tunes expansion. This one comes in as an individual purchase, or as part of the Hot Wheels Pass Vol. 3, which in itself adds in nine vehicles, three themed packs and three track building modules.

The Looney Tunes expansion is the latest addition and this one is a bit neat. You see, it brings forth ideas from the Looney Tunes Adventure Park, split into four areas with Wile E. Coyote’s epic desert set in place. Further are the five new vehicles, whilst there are both track builder modules and basement customisation items too.

But there’s more and accompanying the Looney Tunes brigade are a number of other themed inclusions too – We’ve got a Cyberpunk Customisation Pack for £0.79, another hero in a halfshell rocking up in the form of TMNT’s Donatello for £1.69, He-Man (yep, the Master of the Universe) for the same price and Scooby’s Mystery Machine as well. Rounding things out is the Jumping Towers Module for £2.49. Each of these are available as individual additions to Hot Wheels Unleashed, but they are also included in the Vol. 3 pack too. Just remember that there are both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions available – ensure you purchase the correct one for the game you have.

Expect that pack to round out further down the line as well. There’s promise of The Jetsons, Skeletor, Shredder and further customisation and modules. We’ll let you know when they turn up.

You’ll need a copy of Hot Wheels Unleashed to hand before you go all in and beep beep your way through the Looney Tunes Expansion. If you don’t yet have the download you need in your digital library, then head to the Xbox Store and pick up the base game on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It’s on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC too. The Vol.3 Pass is right here.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
