Boom Ball 3 for Kinect release date and new trailer revealed!

-

Moan about it all you like but we love Kinect and the team at the Virtual Air Guitar Company love it too. And that is why they continue to push Kinect based games on Xbox One. Today they have revealed the release date for their latest Kinect title – Boom Ball 3 for Kinect – whilst throwing a rather lovely new trailer out to the masses.

So, arriving on Xbox One come December 22nd 2017 will be Boom Ball 3 for Kinect. Priced at $9.99 / €9.99 / £7.99, Boom Ball 3 promises to bring plenty of fun for all the family as it delivers ping-pong fun for either one or two players of all ages, shapes and sizes. 50 levels will be included and these will take you across various landscapes ranging from the French countryside, across sand blasted deserts, down into the depths of Atlantis and into the even deeper jungles. Alien planets will even be available.

“We keep believing in Kinect family fun,” says Aki Kanerva, Founder and Lead Designer at Virtual Air Guitar Company. “There are many Kinect owners out there and we want to keep providing great experiences for everyone. We wanted to give players a colorful holiday trip across the world, something that would be both relaxing and exhilarating. We have 24 new background scenes, and every level has multiple waves of handmade, animated cubic animals, vegetables, characters and surprises.”

You’ll now find that you can customise your ball hitting paddles with special effects and Kinect-taken photos ensuring that should you wish for your Nan’s face to be found smashing balls across the screen, then you can do so. It’ll also offer new difficulty modes for those looking for a more intense challenge.

Kanerva explains, “In Fast and Turbo modes, you have fewer balls to lose, and the balls fly much faster. At any time, you can choose the difficulty that suits you best – leisurely fun on Normal mode, challenge your reactions on Fast mode, or get your sweat on in Turbo mode.”

What’s more and the 2-player mode that was first introduced in Boom Ball 2 now takes up less space than before and lets you move around freely.

Features are as follows – but you really should be sitting there watching that trailer!

  • Cheerful ping pong on Kinect
  • 50 all-new lively levels, filled with cute cubic critters
  • New fast and turbo modes for expert players
  • Customize your paddles with unlockable pictures
  • Take a photo of anything with Kinect and use it on your paddles
  • Improved multiplayer: even less space needed
