ROUNDS is on Xbox

You can’t get much better than some 20,000 Overwhelmingly Positive reviews on Steam. But with great acclaim comes great pressure. It’s that in which there’s a bit of a call to arms, as ROUNDS launches on Xbox.

Previously available on Steam for PC, having grabbed much love since launch in 2021, ROUNDS now makes for the world of Xbox. If you’re in the market for a bit of a roguelite 1v1 shooter, we’re not sure you should be skipping on this one.

Priced at £7.09 (weird pricing, but we’ll let it slide), ROUNDS comes to Xbox in order to deliver some hardcore 1v1 shooting to a new market. It’s a game in which you’ll be left to shoot, to block, to jump, all as victory is earned. Fail with any of those three elements, and we’d suspect you’ll be left downed.

Many weapons

Except for in ROUNDS, rarely are you downed for good. Instead, making the most of upgrades, perks and buffs, you’ll get to ride again. And when you consider there are some 11.2 million different combinations of power-ups, much appeal should be found. And yes, we’re sticking with Friendly Foe and Landfall’s figures here – there’s no chance we’re counting all of those combos.

With a fairly minimal visual style, should you be willing to head into a duel, ROUNDS should be the game to provide it. Pop over to the Xbox Store right now and take in a download. You’ll be able to play on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, with the game fully optimised for Series consoles.

You’ll also find it on Steam.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
