dead by daylight crossplay

Dead by Daylight is a game that has been consistently updated with fresh content and ideas ever since launch on console back in 2017, but even now here in 2020 the team at Behaviour Interactive are pushing out extra options – namely in the form of cross-play and cross-friends capabilities.

The new era for Dead by Daylight players begins now, as Cross-Play and Cross-Friends hits the multiplayer horror game to break down barriers and to allow the entire community to join the world of the Entity no matter what platform they are on. Implementing Cross-Play across Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch follows a year of research, interviews, data analysis and the successful implementation of Cross-Play on Steam and the Windows Store. But now players on console and PC will be able to face the most intense trials together, delivering whole new ideas to Dead by Daylight.

Further to that though comes the ability to play with friends from any and all platforms; a feature widely requested by the community. Cross-Friends will ensure that players across the board will be able to create a friends list that is cross-platform and enjoy an unprecedented multiplayer experience in their favourite multiplayer horror game.

With more than 25 million players across the globe, covering all manner of formats, these introductions see Dead by Daylight jumping into the future to meet and exceed both the rising tides of industry standards and the wishes of its players. Dead by Daylight, which has always been a place where all of horror lives, is not just here to stay, it is evolving. At a tremendous rate.

If you don’t yet own a copy of Dead by Daylight then there are numerous routes to take, our preferred one involving a trip to the Xbox Store where you can find the game for either £24.99 or available on Xbox Game Pass. But obviously if you prefer PS4, Nintendo Switch or PC play time, the other relevant stores will sort you out. However you play Dead by Daylight matters little – with the introduction of Cross-Play and Cross-Friends, you can just play, wherever, whenever and with whoever you like.
