If ever there was a racer that has continued to deliver the goods, then it is DiRT Rally 2.0. With Season Three of new content drops well under way, reaching the latter stages in fact, we see a couple more rally beasts arrive for action, with Peugeot and Volkswagen providing the options.

Available to add into DiRT Rally 2.0 right this very minute are the Peugeot 206 Rally and Volkswagen Golf Kitcar, ensuring that the game gets the chance to build on what has gone before to allow gamers access to a couple more cracking vehicles.

Priced up at just £1.19 each or available as part of the DiRT Rally 2.0 Super Deluxe Edition, the 206 and Golf Kitcar come about thanks to Season 3 Week 9, with the final part of this season seeing some form of culmination in a couple of weeks with the addition of the Jämsä rally in Finland.

For now though, we’ve got cars, and what brilliant motors they are. The Peugeot 206 is an icon in the motor industry, mostly for being utterly nimble and adaptable. Replacing the awesome 205 Turbo 16 E2, the 206 Rally took success at the hands of Marcus Grönholm on the world stage, thanks to its compact design and short wheelbase.

Sitting pretty alongside the Peugeot though is one of Germany’s finest – the Volkswagen Golf Kitcar. First put together in 1998, the Volkswagen Golf Kitcar is something that took a few years to evolve, but once it was in place, started taking down the competition, winning ts class at the hands of several high level competitors. The 4 cylinder 270bhp engine would happily produce more than 250Nm of torque, making this car a handful for less experienced drivers.

But whether you are an experienced or new driver in the land of DiRT Rally 2.0 you shouldn’t be seen shying away from what these latest cars bring. With the base game available on Xbox Game Pass, if you’ve taken a liking to what it delivers then grabbing this two new cars should at the very least be considered. You’ll just have to pop over to the usual digital stores in order to pick it up.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
