Drill Deal Oil Tycoon 07

Due to release on Steam any day now, Drill Deal – Oil Tycoon has also been confirmed for a console release later in 2022.

Coming to PC (Steam) on March 9th 2022, with an Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch release occurring a little later in the year, Drill Deal – Oil Tycoon is a new economic strategy game in which the player manages a drilling platform and builds a mining empire.

Created by the Polish studio of A2 Softworks, with PC publishing rights being handled by Manager Games S.A. and Red Dev Studio S.A., Drill Deal – Oil Tycoon will combine economic strategy, simulation and base building as one.

Distinguished by a voxel visual style, a humorous atmosphere and varied gameplay, the game allows you to build and develop a drilling platform and extract raw materials while tackling a variety of challenges and threats. The player will need to take into account many things, including the development of new technologies, employee management, crisis response and the need to take care of a whole range of other factors.

It was back in mid-2020 when we first came across Drill Deal, with the free mission Drill Deal: Borehole (Alpha) launching on PC; pretty well received by players at the time too. Those behind Oil Tycoon have promised that the title has been significantly improved and expanded since then.

In the final version of Drill Deal – Oil Tycoon we have prepared a total of 8 different story scenarios with unique locations, tasks and challenges. And there’s also a sandbox mode, where there are virtually no restrictions. Now the game also offers a lot of new events – sometimes pirates can attack us, you will have to face kraken, there may be an earthquake and many other random events” says the CEO of A2 Softworks, Andrzej Stroiński.

As the game’s developers explain, there are brand new and extensive events systems (over 100 types, in fact), contracts, technological development, platform improvement and employee management in Drill Deal – Oil Tycoon.

Drill Deal – Oil Tycoon is a charming economic strategy where individual solutions are well thought out and together create an engaging, creative and unique whole. This title will appeal to fans of productions such as Two Point Hospital, Buoyancy, Factory Town, Prison Architect or Timberborn. Our new tycoon is also heading for consoles. Work on these versions is already well advanced” adds the CEO of Manager Games S.A., Tomasz Sobiecki.

Drill Deal – Oil Tycoon key features include:

  • running and developing a drilling platform;
  • managing production, technologies and employees;
  • voxel graphics;
  • 8 different story scenarios;
  • enhanced sandbox mode;
  • event and expedition system;
  • at least a dozen hours of fun.

Drill Deal – Oil Tycoon releases on PC (Steam) come March 9th 2022. Expect to see it hit Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch later in the year.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
