Silly season is starting and across the coming weeks gamers on all formats will be slammed with multiple sports titles, as the annual additions look to build on what we’ve loved for the 12 months previous. That starts today with the release of NBA 2K22 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC. Are you ready to dunk it?

Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC, NBA 2K22 is 2K’s yearly update to their renowned NBA series. It promises to take all the good bits out of what we found in NBA 2K21, before sticking a little twist on proceedings and adding in some new marketing speak. What we get at the end of it all is – hopefully – an altogether richer, more rewarding balling experience. 

So, NBA 2K22 looks to put the entire basketball universe in your hands. It gives you a ton of gameplay options, all focuses around the events that take place both on, and off, the court. It brings forward the latest NBA and WNBA rosters, players and teams, gives you the opportunity to build your up Globetrotters in MyTEAM and will let you immerse yourself fully in the every day ins and outs via MyCAREER. 

Those are the standards that we have to come expect from an NBA title, but 2K22 also lets you flex your muscles and skills in MyGM and MyLEAGUE too. Basically, whether you are looking to dink one in, pull off a full slam or triple-point it from the centre, NBA 2K22 allows for it. 

It goes without saying that this year’s edition looks great too, and whilst NBA 2K22 should well play brilliantly on all formats that it is releasing on, those on Xbox Series X|S and PS5 will discover an altogether more rounded experience.

So, getting involved. How does that happen? Well, in terms of Xbox versions, there are a few to consider but we reckon the NBA 2K22 Cross-Gen Digital Bundle for £74.99 is worthy of consideration. You see, it’s this which will let you play across both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S without any hassle. 

Alternatively, you could grab the Xbox One version for £59.99, the Series X|S version for £64.99 or the good old NBA 75th Anniversary Edition for a cool £84.99. That does throw you some 100K in VC, additional MyTEAM Packs, digital items for your MyPLAYER and more though.
