With certain players jetting off to Africa for the Africa Cup of Nations, COVID-based postponements galore, and injuries popping up as the football schedule leaves the congestion of Christmas behind, it’s a surprise that there are enough players this week for FIFA 22’s Team of the Week! But there are, and once more we see those with the finest performances come together for TOTW #17.
We jest, of course, as many players have put in stellar performances recently, seeing them be awarded with a special in-form card in the latest Team of the Week (TOTW) squad in FIFA Ultimate Team. These items are available in packs from Wednesday, 12th January at 6pm UK time, until the very same time next Wednesday.
Whilst they may not be some proper superstars to rival Kevin de Bruyne, Messi or Lewandowksi of prior weeks for TOTW #17, the likes of PSG’s Marquinhos and Borussia Dortmund and England youngster Jude Bellingham certainly jump off the page. The former’s inclusion is likely down to his role in the French outfit’s nine game unbeaten streak in Ligue 1, and as for Bellingham, he picked up a decisive goal in the 3-2 victory against Eintracht Frankfurt this weekend.
