Not a fan of trundling around in your tractor all on your lonesome? You’ll be sorted by Farming Simulator 22 as not only is multiplayer firmly attached, but that will come with zero barriers as GIANTS Software confirm that cross-platform multiplayer farming will be a thing.

Due to launch on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Google Stadia and PC come November 22nd 2021, Farming Simulator 22 will ensure that the good times are able to grow like never before with the implementation of cross-platform multiplayer. Yep, no matter your vehicle of choice, in Farming Simulator 22 everyone can farm together and create their own personal style via the new character creator.

Thanks to that crossplay virtual farmers can play Farming Simulator 22 together, regardless of their preferred system. It enables fans to join each other’s experiences platform-independent, and will mean that anyone and everyone can enjoy the creative freedom of cooperative farming together

“The successful implementation of crossplay marks a major advancement for the multiplayer experience in the now self-published Farming Simulator series”, comments Boris Stefan, Head of Publishing at GIANTS Software. “With the series becoming more and more popular around the world, and the fan base growing on PC and consoles alike, we can now connect virtual farmers without restrictions. Cooperative farming evolves”.

And with that cross-platform gaming confirmed, you’ll need to ensure that you look your best down on the farm, and once more Farming Simulator 22 will cover the bases there too. In fact, with even more farmers sharing virtual land to cooperate in their agricultural undertakings, players can also enjoy new options to customize their character. This will come in the form of new player models, hairstyles, clothing items – including authentic branded outfits from Case IH, CLAAS, Fendt, John Deere, and many other major brands in the agricultural industry – and accessories.

“Since Farming Simulator is enjoyed by an innumerable amount of fans in multiplayer mode, whether among friends in relaxing sessions after work, or even our passionate content creators playing together in role-play scenarios, we’re excited to provide them with many new possibilities for their characters”, adds Senior Character Artist Roman Pelypenko.

There’s a huge amount of hype for Farming Simulator 22 already and as we build towards that November release on Xbox, PlayStation, PC and Stadia, we’re sure that’s going to ramp up even more. But let us know what you think. Will cross-platform multiplayer farming be something that tempts you in? The comments are below and we’re on all the usual socials.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
