Get your puzzling fix with Puzzle by Nikoli W Sudoku on Xbox

Whilst there are a host of word and number puzzles available on the Xbox Store, the vast majority of those – at least the best ones – come from those at Lightwood Games. It seems that Lightwood have got themselves a bit of competition though as Puzzle by Nikoli W Sudoku starts the tease on Xbox and PC. 

If we had to play a word puzzler, it would be something ‘by POWGI’ – one of the plethora of titles to have come from the Lightwood Games team. Out of those, we’d probably plump for Word Wheel. Or maybe Wordbreaker. Hell, we might even gravitate to something like Gaps or Ladders. But if it’s a game of Sudoku we want to play around with then Word Sudoku is perfect. 

Yet now there’s a new option on the Xbox Store table. Playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S (as well as on PC if you’d prefer) is the snappily titled Puzzle by Nikoli W Sudoku. It may not have the swazz of a ‘by POWGI’ title, and you can sure as hell guarantee that the dad jokes will be slight, but if you want a straight up Sudoku title, and want to play with numbers, it’ll possibly do the job. 

Yep, Puzzle by Nikoli W Sudoku is a Sudoku game. End of. Whether you want one of those can only be decided by your own mind, bit if you do, this handles things with ease. We won’t go into detail as to what you need to do – everyone knows how to play Sudoku!
