It’s hard to believe that 8floor are on the eighth instalment of the hit series Gnomes Garden. However, it is that which is exactly true. Join us as we check out Gnomes Garden 8: Return of the Queen on Xbox as it makes its way to the console patch.
Gnomes x Harpies
Releasing on Xbox consoles, following an April 2021 debut on PC, Gnomes Garden 8: Return of the Queen continues the city builder-esque gameplay, set across a variety of biomes within this medieval world. On Xbox, we’ve already enjoyed a number of previous instalments into the series, and this new title appears to be much of the same, albeit with a graphical improvement.
Since their first meeting on the Sloping Shores, the Harpy Queen and Gnome Queen have been inseparable best friends. They are used to sending messages to each other, however one day the message puts the Gnome Queen into much distress. It appears the Harpy Queen is in dire need of assistance, and thus it is up to you to save the day!
Grow Your Garden!
Much like other entries into the series, Gnomes Garden 8 sees you adopt a top-down view as you oversee your garden.
Through a number of different quests and over 40 levels, you’ll meet a variety of comical characters, and be instructed to build a number of units in your garden. You’ll need to erect farms and the like to keep your gnome community in top shape, as well as maintain resources through the production of a sawmill, for example.

Game Description
What could gnomes and harpies have in common? It might seem that there’s nothing, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. The Harpy Queen and Gnome Queen are old friends. They first met on the Sloping Shores when a gnome ship was wrecked. The Harpy Queen helped the Gnome Queen and the whole crew reach their land and they’ve been the best of friends since then.
They don’t see each other often, but regularly write to each other. These are usually friendly letters about fun celebrations in their kingdoms, the first snow, a nephew’s birthday or the building of a new city. However, this letter was completely different to the ones before.
The messenger that delivered it was scruffy and out of breath and this was something the Gnome Queen found strange.
