GRID Season 2 arrives and brings new cars, tracks, events and more!

grid season 2

When we first heard that Codemasters were bringing GRID back from the dead our excitement levels went through the roof. And then when we realised exactly what they had delivered back in October 2019, those levels went even higher. And since that time GRID has firmly established itself as one of the very best racers on console, providing gamers with tons of content, some exhilarating racing and a huge amount of fun. Now though it’s moving on once more with the arrival of Season 2 bringing with it new cars, new races, new events and a whole ton more.

Following on from the launch of GRID Season 1 back in December, Season 2 is now in place, with a huge amount of new content sitting ready to be embraced by all.

Season 2 arrives via the GRID Ultimate Edition, or for those who previously purchased the standard game, the Ultimate Edition Upgrade. And should you decide to head to the Xbox Store, the PlayStation Store or however you get your PC fix, the Season 2 additions will deliver a huge amount of new content.

In order to keep you racing for another good few months, Season 2 focuses on the Track Day Supercars, pushing out 33 new career events that are split across 15 exclusive Track Day Supercar options, before seeing the rest work their way into the other formats. There are also three new Showdowns to enjoy.

Further to that though and Season 2 also provides new cars with the Aston Martin Vulcan AMR Pro, Brabham BT62, Ferrari FXX and Pagani Zonda Revolución all becoming available. The latter of these will also be available as a loan car to all GRID racers – whether that decide to go down the Season 2 route or not.

With the cars available to be used in all game modes, Season 2 also drops in a brand new circuit and hot on the heels of the Red Bull Racing F1 team unveiling their livery for the upcoming season, its the iconic Red Bull Ring from Austria that comes into GRID. Again, much like that Pagani Zonda, this circuit will be available for all.

With Season One of the GRID additions having seen us enjoy the Hot Hatch Showdown and now Season Two focusing everything it has on the Supercar scene, it’s a great time to head back to GRID to get behind the wheel once more. We’ll certainly be out there hitting the track again – will you join us? Let us know in the comments below.
