Insurgency: Sandstorm was originally revealed way back at E3 2017. After going down rather nicely on PC in the four years since, it’s finally found a home on Xbox and PlayStation too. Should you be after what many see as the definitive tactical first-person shooter – your time has come.
Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (with full optimisation in place), PS4 and PS5, Insurgency: Sandstorm sweeps onto console to allow a whole new market of gamers the chance to take in a critically acclaimed depiction of modern warfare.
It’s priced at £34.99 from the Xbox Store and will allow players the chance to team up before taking in some seriously intense warfare, with 8-player cooperative gameplay at the heart of the matter. When you then consider that it also deals in competitive PvP match ups for up to 20 at a time and some highly realistic attention to detail thrown in too, then Insurgency: Sandstorm is a bit of a tempter.
It throws you into a variety of war-torn environments as you and your friends are left to work their way through a number of different game modes. Whether you go alone, with mates or against mates, Insurgency: Sandstorm promises to power up with nothing short of huge amounts of immersion.
