Done journeying to hell in DOOM? Need another reason to head into the depths? You’ll want to join the Hellbreachers on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.

Available to purchase and download right now, Hellbreachers comes to console via the eastasiasoft/Ratalaika Games stables, taking what OMEGACORE first created and allowing a new batch of gamers the chance to enjoy the experience.

Hellbreachers pretty much does as the name suggests, letting you work with a range of characters (Knight, Magician, Assassin), customising them as you go, before throwing them into the depths of Hell. Playing out as a retro-styled action platformer, Hellbreachers covers a range of bases and thanks to the customisation opportunities in place you should be able to easily find a fit for your own unique play style.

Coming in at a mere £4.19 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch – and yep, this is a fully optimised Xbox Series X|S title too – Hellbreachers certainly seems to follow the tried and trusted eastasiasoft and Ratalaika standards with plenty of content for sillly low prices. And that’s a good route to take in our books, especially should a plentiful amount of easy Gamerscore also be on offer.

Features include:

  • Traverse 50 levels of side-scrolling action!
  • Select a Knight, Magician or Assassin as your base class.
  • Customize characters to suit your play style.
  • Explore 10 vibrant locations, from castle halls to underground caverns!
  • Upgrade abilities with light RPG elements.

Should you be in the market for a fun combater that is capable of dropping some decent RPG adventuring, we reckon you should be checking out Hellbreachers on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. You’ll find the usual digital stores playing host to a download – with our favourite being that of the Xbox Store

Make sure you keep an eye out for our upcoming review of Hellbreachers on Xbox Series X|S too.

Game Description:

Journey deep into Hell and back in this side-scrolling action adventure! Retro-styled action platforming gets a modern upgrade with robust character creation and RPG progression. Choose one of three heroes, then customize with ten unique specializations to fit your play style. This is adventuring done your way! Whether you prefer straightforward melee, ranged combat or spell-weaving, you’re free to tackle Hellbreachers’ deadly depths with different strategies every time. Featuring 50 levels across 10 unique locations, Hellbreachers offers a wealth of content to explore. Combine that with fluid pixel art animation and challenging bosses to overcome, and this is a journey worth taking time and time again!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
