Put an end to the fight as Neverwinter: Sharandar – Episode 3: The Odious Court comes to console

neverwinter sharandar Episode 3 xbox

It was back in March when Xbox and PlayStation players had the chance to return to Sharandar with Neverwinter. Now though it’s time for that adventure to come to an end as the epic conclusion to the Sharadar module rolls out on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PS4.

Episode 3: The Odious Court is the finale of the Neverwinter: Sharandar tale and after previously releasing on PC, it’s time for the action to hit Xbox and PlayStation consoles, with the final episode bringing some kind of conclusion to the events set in the revamped mystical land.

It will see adventurers travel to the Dark Fey Mire to investigate the fetid swamp tainted by the mysterious dark magic of Velma the Bonegrinder, a deceitful Green Hag, and her sisters from the Odious Court. After the defeat of the witch fen at the hands of Iliyanbruen elves and adventurers from Neverwinter, frog-like humanoids called Grungs have moved into the area and claimed it as their own. A copse of aggressive Dryads recently pushed out of the mended grove from an unknown threat have also taken refuge within. It’s here where you’ll look to push back the darkness in New Sharandar once and for all, as adventurers band together to restore safety to the mystical land, and uncover the role of the Odious Court.

The new campaign will bring forth additional bounties and challenging heroic encounters as you battle Velma’s servants across the Dark fey Mire, but that is just the start of the action and once in the Green Hag’s lair the final battle will come to the fore – a deadly fight against all three hags: Granny Necksnapper, the Annis Hag, Mathilda Soulstealer, the Night Hag and last but not least, Velma the Bonegrinder, the Green Hag.

The key features of Episode 3: The Odious Court include:

  • The Dark Fey Mire: Explore the new Dark Fey Mire area of the Sharandar Adventure Zone. Making up the original regions of the Putrid Fen, Horrid Mire and the Upper/Lower Banks, the Dark Fey Mire is a fetid swamp still tainted by the twisted magics of Magra Curse-Eye and her sisters.
  • Green Hag Lair: In a last ditch effort, hags aligned with Magra Curse-Eye, the deceitful Green Hag, created a massive earthquake in the region of the Horrid Mire in an attempt to rend the region asunder and bury anyone aligned with the Iliyanbruen!: To successfully save New Sharandar, will you enter the dreadful lair to defeat the Green Hag and her sisters –and uncover the mystery of the Odious Court?
  • New Bounties: As the threat of the hags grows, more of their foul champions are brought forth. The Iliyanbruen elves of New Sharandar reward those adventurers brave enough to defeat these threats and claim the bounties.
  • New Heroic Encounters: The new Dark Fey Mire area has new, challenging Heroic Encounters (including additional Major and Minor HeroicEncounters).

With Neverwinter being free-to-play (the Xbox Store will sort you out), there is possibly no good reason to not find yourself taking a trip to the lands created here as Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios look to end the Sharandar expansion on a high, particularly if you have previously spent time with Episode 1: The Iron Tooth and Episode 2: The Soul Keeper.
